Taylor Swift fans are freaking out Thursday over a behind-the-scenes video one Swiftie shared from the Grammy winner’s epic Eras Tour that offers a never-before-seen look at the concert’s production.
And in another nod to the record-busting tour that ended in December, the billionaire pop star has landed a spot in a new global singles chart with her years-old hit that opened every show.
Months after the end of the Eras Tour, a Taylor Swift fan posted a video on TikTok giving fellow Swifties a never-before-seen, behind-the-scenes peek of the epic show’s production.
In the clip taken during the sixth in her series of London concerts, the “Cruel Summer” singer quickly ducks backstage for one of the many Eras Tour quick changes. (Eras took over the city’s Wembley Stadium on June 21, 22 and 23, and came back for more on Aug. 15, 16, 17, 19 and 20.)
Members of Swift’s team can be seen quickly opening and closing the curtains for her.
Fans insist that the white bed frame used during Swift’s performance of The Tortured Poets Department hit “Fortnight” can be seen by the stage exit.
“Guys I just realised I filmed Taylor going into her changing room London N6 look at the end,” the TikTok user wrote over the clip.
Reposting the video to X, one fan commented, “this feels illegal to see but also pls i want to see it all.”
“[…] sometimes when its [sic] a day show, you can see the other props stored inside the tent like the bed, the man office, etc,” another X user responded.
“SACRED FOOTAGE,” one die-hard Swiftie labeled the rare clip, while another noted “i haven’t seen an eras tour tiktok in ages.”
The final Eras Tour show took place on Dec 8 at the BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, British Columbia.
More than five years after its release, Taylor Swift’s hit song “Cruel Summer” has once again cracked the top ten of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry’s (IFPI) Global Single Chart.
The IFPI announced the ten biggest songs of the year in a post to X on Thursday. Nestled between Noah Kahan’s “Stick Season” and Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” Swift’s 2019 hit secured the ninth spot.
Swift was known to open all Eras Tour shows with a performance of “Cruel Summer,” and Travis Kelce revealed that the hit was his second favorite song of hers in a June 2024 podcast interview.
Last year, “Cruel Summer” placed seventh on IFPI’s top global singles chart.
The announcement comes a few days after the international organization crowned her the No. 1 recording artist for the third year in a row. Swift has earned that title five times throughout her career.
